Hot Blooded - Part 4 ( Dark Kings ) by Donna Grant with review by Samantha

The breathtaking conclusion to New York Times bestselling author Donna Grant’s HOT BLOODED e-series!
Iona’s heart pounded in her ears like a drum. Her life was being dismantled one piece at a time. What was she going to be when it was all said and done?
Laith squatted beside her and cupped her face in his hands. "Look at me. Look into my eyes. What do you see?"
"You," she said. "I see you."
"Remember that, Iona Campbell," he whispered before he kissed her.

A DARK KING AND HIS MATE
In HOT BLOODED: Part IV, the situation goes from bad to worse. Laith, Iona and the Dark Kings are preparing for a showdown. Winner takes all, but neither Laith nor Iona can stand to lose, especially if it means losing each other.
Read all four parts of this sensational e-series—and look for the full volume of Hot Blooded from St. Martin’s Paperbacks.

In parts 1-3 we have seen Laith and Iona's journey. Iona had to come back to Scotland for the reading of his will after his death, which she later finds out was no accident. She meets Laith and the other Dragon Kings and now they find that she was basically set up to look like she was spying on them and she finds that most of her life the past few years has been nothing but a lie.  With people trying to kill her and the Dragon Kings she will have to put full trust in what her and Laith have as well as the other Kings and Warriors. She learns that she and Laith are mates and has to make a decision on what course she wants to take. Rhys makes a huge decision concerning his dragon when Lily is in danger and everyones favorite light Fae has to rediscover who she is.
I absolutely love Donna Grants books. I started reading her druid books long before The Kings series and I was a fan then. The kings series has made me even more so. I love her writing style and imagination. I love all of the characters. I think that Iona was a strong character and had an interesting backstory. I thought that with all parts combined this was a great book! I definitely recommend reading. If you are going to read it in parts you do need to read parts 1-3 first!

From bestselling author Amelia Grey comes The Duke in My Bed,

of his challenger’s five sisters—sight unseen. Now gamblers all over London are
placing bets on whether Bray will actually go through with it…

at the Heirs’ Club promised her brother—she has no intention of marrying the
future Duke of Drakestone. Bray, however, sees her rejection as another
challenge. He bets that the fiery Miss Prim will not only agree to marry him,
she will propose to him! With four sisters behind her, Louisa knows she can’t

She also knows it's been years since the promise. She also blames Bray for her brothers death. But as much as she doesn't want to have anything to do with him she just can't seem to get him out of her head. She is beyond attracted to him and he just won't stop kissing her. How is she supposed to fight these feelings for him if he is always there breaking through all of the barriers she has set in place?

I absolutely loved this book! This is the second book that I have read by Amelia Grey and both times I have finished in one sitting unable to put the book down. I am a big fan of historical romance and Amelia has quickly become one of my favorite authors. Any chance that I have to read one of her books I will be jumping on.  This book has loveable characters in the Prim girls. The younger girls are utterly adorable. It is very easy to connect with Lousia's character. If you are a lover of historical Romance then this is definitely a book for you! I highly recommend reading!

Emma is young and was in love with her husband. They had a beautiful baby boy then while on assignment he loses his life. Emma is devastated. If it was not for the help of both hers and Max's parents and her friends she would not have made it through. She finally decides to move back home to Florida with her family. She eventually gets a job and makes some wonderful new friends. Along with these friends she meets the handsome doctor Alec. Emma doesn't know what to think of her feelings for Alec. She was madly in love with Max and never thought that she could feel that way again but there is something about Alec that makes her feel again.

It has just been Alec and his daughter for a year now. When he meets Emma his is surprised by how attracted he is to her. Once he meets her he seems to run into her everywhere. He finally stops fighting the attraction and the more time they spend together the deeper he falls for her. But things don't seem to be the way that they seem on Alec's end.

My Opinion:

I was totally enamored with the first books that this one is based off of. Brenda is an amazing writer and she delivers some amazing stories that are deeply emotional and suspenseful. This book was no exception. As with the others once I started reading this book I could not put it down. Emma's character is such a beautiful person and should be able to find love again and seems to have found that with Alec. But then Brenda had to throw in a twist at the end with a cliff hanger! Now I am anxiously awaiting the next book in the series. There is no way that I can stop at book one and not know what happens! I definitely recommend reading this book!
